Your setup stays with youPartner profiles, listening results, and alarms are stored on your phone, not on a Couples Alarm server.

No advertisingWe do not use your profiles, listening answers, or alarms for ads or tracking. This website counts page views without cookies.

Your partner names, listening answers, and saved alarms are stored on your phone, not automatically uploaded. Sharing a match is your choice. Store billing, optional support messages, feedback submissions, and website page counts are separate, as explained below. The Android version is still in testing; this policy does not announce its availability on Google Play.

Information stored on your phone

The app stores the following information locally:

  • Two partner names
  • Each partner’s answers from the listening test
  • The alarm sound both partners confirm
  • Saved alarm schedules and settings
  • The free-month start and end dates

This information is used to suggest an alarm sound, show the saved setup, manage the free-access period, and schedule alarms through your phone’s alarm system. It is not used for advertising, tracking, or a medical assessment. The app does not record audio or request microphone access.

Android: Partner names, listening answers, and custom alarm labels use storage that becomes available after you first unlock the phone following a restart. A separate, minimal alarm-delivery record is available before that first unlock so the app can recover schedules; it contains timing and sound settings, not partner names, listening answers, or custom labels. Android cloud backup is disabled for the app.

Sharing

Couples Alarm does not upload partner profiles, listening answers, or saved alarms to its servers. Alarm schedules are passed to Apple’s or Android’s alarm system on your phone for delivery. Android alarm notifications use generic text on the locked screen; your phone’s notification and lock-screen settings also control what is visible.

If you choose to share a match from Android, the shared text includes both partner names and roles, the match frequency code, and sound style. It is handed to the sharing app you select; review the content and recipient before sending. That service processes anything you send under its own policies.

Purchases and store services

Purchases use Apple’s App Store on iPhone and Google Play Billing on Android. The store handles payment through your store account; Couples Alarm does not receive your payment-card details.

The Android app contacts Google Play to load prices, check or restore purchase access, and acknowledge completed purchases. This exchanges product and purchase information, including a purchase token and purchase status, with Google. Google may also process account, device, and technical information to provide and protect its services under its Privacy Policy. Partner names, listening answers, and alarm labels are not included in the app’s billing requests. Store billing is not covered by the statement that your setup stays on your phone.

Store purchase records are managed separately from your local setup. Erasing setup does not delete a purchase or the store’s records; use the applicable store’s account, purchase, and privacy controls for those records.

Support email

On iPhone, Feedback & Support opens an email composer. On Android, use Settings → Email Support to open your email app. The editable message includes the app version and iOS or Android version. No profile, alarm, listening, or attachment data is added. Review the message before choosing Send; opening the composer does not send it.

Your email provider and the support inbox provider process the message according to their policies. Your email address and the information you choose to include may be retained as needed to respond and maintain support history; they are not used for advertising or tracking. Reply to the support conversation to request deletion.

Optional feedback form

If you submit the feedback form, your selected answers, optional comments, optional build number, submission time, and a random reference number are sent to Supabase and stored on behalf of Couples Alarm. A supported iPhone app link also fills in the app version, build, iOS version, and form entry point shown on the form. Android test-build links include app and Android versions in the URL fragment, but the current form does not automatically attach that Android context to a submission. Use Email Support if you want to include your Android version. The form does not ask for your name or email address, create an account, use analytics, or use the answers for advertising or tracking.

After Supabase stores a response, Resend notifies Couples Alarm Support with only its random reference number and a link to the private feedback dashboard; feedback answers are not included in that email. Resend processes the notification delivery under its Privacy Policy.

Do not include partner names, alarm schedules, frequencies, listening observations, health information, or diagnoses. Supabase may process technical request information needed to operate and secure the service under its Privacy Policy. Email support with your reference number to request deletion of a feedback response.

Website analytics

This website counts page views so we know which pages people find useful. Counting is done by Couples Alarm directly, without Google Analytics or any other advertising or analytics company. The apps do not send in-app activity to this page counter. Opening a public website page from the app is a website visit and is covered by this section.

Nothing is stored on your device: no cookies and no browser storage, so there is no banner to dismiss and nothing that follows you to another website. For each page view we record only the page address, the website that linked you here if there was one, and the time.

Your IP address is never stored. To tell roughly how many different people visited rather than how many pages were opened, we convert your IP address and browser type into a scrambled code using a secret ingredient that changes every day. The code cannot be turned back into your IP address, and because the ingredient changes daily, tomorrow's code for the same person is different and cannot be matched to today's. Visitor counts are approximate for exactly that reason: visiting on two days counts twice.

These counts are stored by Supabase on behalf of Couples Alarm under its Privacy Policy, and a monthly summary is emailed to Couples Alarm through Resend under its Privacy Policy. The summary contains only totals and page addresses. The compatibility preview still keeps every listening answer in your browser without sending it anywhere.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no request is made at all. Any content blocker will also stop it.

Removing information

Delete an alarm from the alarm list to remove it. To remove both profiles, listening results, the saved sound, and all saved wake alarms, choose Settings → Erase All Data on iPhone or Settings → Erase Setup & Alarms on Android, then confirm. Retake listening test keeps alarms saved but pauses them until you finish setup again.

iPhone: Deleting the app removes setup data. Free-month dates remain in secure storage on the device so reinstalling does not restart the free month; they are not transmitted.

Android: Erase Setup & Alarms cancels wake and test alarms and removes setup and alarm-delivery records. Free-month eligibility and reminder state are kept separately on the device; this action does not reset eligibility or cancel an existing free-month reminder. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling removes the app’s local data; Google Play purchase records remain with Google. These local actions do not remove messages or feedback you previously sent—use the deletion routes above for those.

Permissions

iPhone: Couples Alarm requests Alarm access when needed to schedule alarms. After setup, it may request notification access for optional free-month reminders. Reminder notifications contain no names, schedules, or listening results. You can change either permission in iPhone Settings; turning reminders off does not turn off your alarms.

Android: Exact alarms, notifications, and full-screen alarm access are separate controls. The app checks these and the high-priority alarm notification channel before scheduling. Notifications are part of alarm delivery, not just optional reminders. The optional reminder can be turned off separately in Settings → Free-month reminder. Android also provides background alarm playback and restart recovery. Review the controls in Settings → Alarm access and the support guidance before relying on a test alarm.
